BE INSPIRED

AFTER I MOVED TO AUSTIN IN APRIL OF 2017, I HAD LEFT MY CAMERA SITTING IN IT'S BAG. I HAD JUST SPENT THE LAST 3 YEARS FOCUSED INTENSELY ON MUSIC AND SOME OTHER PROJECTS.

I WAS UNSURE OF WHICH WAY I WANTED TO GO. EVERY DAY I WOULD TAKE THE SAME ROUTE TO WORK AND SEE THE SAME HOMELESS COMMUNTIES AND MEMBERS. I WAS SADDENED BY THE OBSERVATION THAT PEOPLE REFUSED TO LOOK AT THESE HUMANS. PERIOD. AS IF THEY DID NOT EXIST.

I KNEW I WANTED TO FIND A WAY TO BRING THIS TO A FOCUS PROJECT. I WENT HUNTING FOR A NEW PROJECT NOTEBOOK AND FOUND A BE INSPIRED JOURNAL. EVERY PAGE HAS A QUOTE AND A QUESTION. I JUST LIKED IT. AFTER I MET MICHAEL AT ROCKSTAR BAGELS, I KNEW THIS JOURNAL WOULD GIVE THIS JOURNEY A FOCUS.

EVERY PAGE IS AN ENTRY, EVERY FACE HAS A STORY TO TELL. WHERE THIS GOES, I AM NOT SURE, I AM GOING TO LET IT LEAD ME JUST LIKE IT LED ME TO MICHAEL AS MY FIRST INSPIRATION.
