Photographer, Writer, Adventurer
Having stepped aside from the Fine Art Photography world for a while I am now re-entering by seeking admission to a show. You can find all the information on the Wylde Soul Sessions Page.
Maybe because the show feels like it has the same vibe as the show I created, curated and hosted (The Wylde Woman Show: Celebration of the Female Figure in Bryan/College, 2014) or it is just simply that I keep reading that June is a month for taking chances. “Change is uncomfortable. There are no guarantees. And yet, when you do new things you are paving the way for magic. Transformation isn’t linear. Take a chance on yourself and do what you’ve been thinking about but have been too scared to try. You have nothing to lose and a world to see. Believe in your own magic.” Kari Samuels
The show: Bare Men: The Group Show presented by Abigail Ekue Photography (https://www.abigailekuephotography.com/bare-men-group-show). Bare Men: The Group Show is a group photography exhibition of the male nude curated and presented by Abigail Ekue. Artists are invited to submit photography of the male nude ranging from the classical to the raw & erotic. Bare Men: The Group Show will showcase art which celebrates all expressions of the male nude - the sensuality, strength, vulnerability and sexuality.
Men Models: I am looking for men who are willing to be a model. I am not looking for the perfect man. I AM looking for the man who is willing to be seen. To share what makes him vulnerable, erotic, sensual and alive in today’s volatile society. There is no pay involved. You will need to sign a model release. Your image IF selected will be entered into a show and seen by the public. I have to enter my choices (5 of them) no later than August 10, 2019. Which means I need to be done shooting by July 10th so I can have the time to select and bring to print my entries. Feel free to call me (979.220.1695) or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) I live in Austin and am willing to travel to a limited degree.
“Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead.”
